Meet MyHeritage
Though MyHeritage was eager to create an animated brand video, they were deterred by the complexity and lack of existing animation branding. This undertaking required the creation of a new visual language and needed to follow clearly defined brand guidelines. Decisions had to be made quickly and approved by multiple stakeholders for every aspect of production — including script, voiceover, illustration, and animation style.
The Challenge
Animation productions are complex and involve numerous steps, deliverables, branded design and creative approvals throughout the process. MyHeritage had never produced an animation before, so all development of their animation branding was done from scratch. The video had to reflect MyHeritage's clearly defined brand guidelines, and required the creation of a new visual language that was customized for animation. Decisions had to be made for every aspect of the script, voiceover, illustration, and animation style—and then each of those decisions had to be approved by multiple stakeholders within MyHeritage.
